Schoeps CCM 2

The Schoeps CCM 2 has a flat frequency response for frontal sound incidence. This yields a very natural quality when picking up sound that is predominantly direct — close to the source, or in a "dry" acoustic.

The CCM 2 is meant to be placed in close proximity to the sound source. The sonic impression never becomes overly brilliant or harsh. Note that even with an omnidirectional microphone there is some directivity at high frequencies, so it still matters which way the capsule is aimed.
