Schoeps MK 21

The directivity of the Schoeps MK 21 wide cardioid lies between omnidirectional and cardioid. Its development idea was to combine the advantages of both patterns — the natural, open sound of an omni with the directional control of a cardioid.

The MK 21 is excellent for choirs, ensembles, and acoustic instruments in good-sounding rooms, and is a popular choice for ORTF and other near-coincident stereo configurations.

Pairs with any Colette series preamp such as the CMC 1 U, CMC 6 U, or CMD 42.
