The Deity W.Lav Micro is a subminiature omnidirectional lavalier microphone with a Microdot connector, designed for filmmaking and high-end video production where concealment is critical.
Its 3mm capsule and 1.2mm cable make it one of the easiest lavaliers on the market to hide. With 4K now standard and 6K/8K increasingly common, keeping a lavalier invisible to the camera matters more than ever — the Micro disappears under almost any wardrobe.
Despite measuring just 1.2mm across, the cable withstands 43 foot-pounds of tension before breaking, achieved by weaving synthetic polymers around the inner conductors. The silicone outer jacket absorbs vibration and prevents cable noise transferring into the capsule — a genuine advantage when the mic is threaded beneath tight-fitting clothing.
Modern digital wireless systems can cause problems for traditional lavaliers through RF interference inherent to the modulation method. The W.Lav Micro was designed around this from the outset, with extra shielding inside the cable for clean, stable audio.
The 1.8 m (5.9') cable terminates in a Microdot connector, allowing easy connection to transmitters worn at the waist or ankle. Microdot adapters (sold separately) adapt it to:
