The RF Venue Diversity Fin does the job of two shark fin paddles with a single antenna. It combines an LPDA and a dipole element at right angles to each other, so one captures vertically polarized signal and the other horizontally polarized signal. That cross-polarized design is what kills the multipath dropouts you get indoors and in reflective spaces, where two paddles pointed the same way simply see the same fade at the same time.

It covers 470-698 MHz, works with any brand of UHF diversity receiver or antenna distro, and needs no power. Two BNC outputs: one to the A input, one to B, point it at the talent and you are done. Roughly 120 degrees of horizontal coverage and typical range beyond 90 m. The mounting block takes 1/4-20, 3/8-16 and 5/8-27 threads, so it goes straight onto a lighting stand or a mic stand without adapters.

Rental includes

  • 1x RF Venue Diversity Fin antenna (black)
