Sound Devices Astral Outpost — Remote NexLink Antenna Extender for the Astral Wireless Ecosystem

The Astral Outpost is a remote NexLink antenna module that lets you mount NexLink antennas far from the main receiver, extending control range and stability across stadiums, theatres, large stages, and complex multi-zone productions. Connect by Ethernet Cat-6 or optical fibre via SFP, power over PoE or USB-C, and deploy multiple Outposts on a single system to build a distributed antenna network.

The Outpost does not connect directly to transmitters — it relays the 2.4 GHz NexLink control link, which means transmitter performance (gain, frequency, record start/stop, sleep/wake) stays rock-solid even when talent is hundreds of metres from the receiver.
